Leadership Seminar 2023 - round-up

The 2023 Leadership Seminar took place online on 20 May, chaired by NASUWT Senior Vice-President Rashida Din and Junior Vice-President Wayne Broom.

The NASUWT provided a programme of interactive workshops led by experts from inside and outside the Union, as well as a plenary session where leader members were able to discuss the issues raised throughout the day.

The five interactive workshops were:

  • Academies Regulatory and Commissioning Review - Anne Brimacombe, NASUWT National Negotiating Official

  • Effective Leadership - Matt Bromley, NSM Training and Consultancy

  • SEND Update: The SEND and Alternative Provision Improvement Plan - an update on the response to the Green Paper - Sonja Hall, NASUWT Principal Official (Education)

  • Overcoming Unconscious Bias and Promoting Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in Schools - Yuki Hazlewood, EqualiTeach

  • Good Habits for Better Wellbeing for Leaders - Faye McGuinness, Education Support

The day concluded with a discussion forum chaired by NASUWT Junior Vice-President Wayne Broom.
