Transforming Communications – Arrangements for Events and Training Courses During the Covid-19 Pandemic
Here at the NASUWT, we are always reviewing the way we deliver our service so that we can adapt to what you as members need and how you want it to be delivered. This has been particularly important in our response to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
The pandemic is a life-transforming challenge we all face together and we are fully committed to responding positively wherever we can, including setting up new channels of communication to provide the expert advice, guidance and support that you have come to expect on the issues you face in circumstances that are unprecedented in our lifetimes.
When we decided at the onset of the pandemic that in the interests of health and safety we should cancel our face-to-face events and training courses, we also began an expansion of our existing communications network to include Crowdcast and Zoom to keep in touch with you through a programme of online webinars and meetings.
Many of you will have already taken part in our free webinars on Crowdcast and Zoom, live video channels that are compatible with most platforms and devices, including tablets and smartphones, which means you don't even have to move off your sofa to take part!
Our Crowdcast webinars usually last 30 minutes from 7pm and they all include a live Q&A. The sessions are publicised in our news section and via email, but if you’ve missed out, you can also watch previous recorded webinars by registering on our Crowdcast channel.
Our Zoom webinars vary from those focusing on students and newly qualified teachers to specialist seminars for supply teachers and annual equalities consultation conferences. These webinars are publicised via members’ email addresses, so please ensure your details are up to date by logging in and checking your membership record on our online e-Membership hub.
Thank you for your continuing support for the NASUWT and we look forward to being able to see you at future training courses and events.
The NASUWT programme of Consultation Conferences are designed for members from under-represented groups, leadership members and supply teachers in order to inform NASUWT policy and practice.
Events are listed as they arise.
