Yes, Hilton Birmingham Metropole has a number of fully accessible bedrooms. Please inform the Conference and Events Team and add your request to your registration details so that they can secure a room which meets your needs.

NASUWT conferences and events are strictly for adults only due to the nature of the content shared and no children will be permitted into any areas of the conference.

Yes, there are fixed-loop hearing systems in the main meeting room.

If you require the use of a mobility scooter whilst at the conference, you can find details of a local company to arrange the hire at Mobility Scooter Hire West Midlands.

There is ample disabled parking at the front of the hotel. Please let the Conference and Events Team know your car registration and model if you require a space.

When you arrive at the hotel, a member of their staff will raise the barrier for you to enter the designated area.

Where are the disabled toilets? (Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel)

All the Conference will take place on the ground floor and there are several designated disabled toilets on the ground floor of the hotel with pictorial signage on the doors.

What arrangements are being made for refreshments and catering? (Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel)

All refreshments and catering will be provided with lower serving stations. The evening and lunchtime provision will be buffet style served from the venue.

The menus can be found on the Conference App in the agenda under the catering sessions. If you have any dietary requirements, please let the Conferences and Events Team know in advance.

Will there be quiet spaces I can use to take time out from the Conference? (Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel)

Yes, there will be a quiet space available for use by all delegates in the Salisbury Room. Please feel free to use this space throughout the conference when you need to.

Yes, we will do everything we can to make your experience comfortable and enjoyable. If you would like to discuss your needs in confidence, please include your requests during the registration process. Your details are private and confidential. Please also speak with a member of the Conferences and Events Team so that we can support and help you with any specific needs. 

We have a quiet room which can be used by all delegates. This can be found in the Sailsbury Room. A number of Hilton Birmingham Metropole staff are also trained mental health first-aiders.

Are there any health facilities on site? (Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel)

Yes, the venue has a LivingWell Health Club which is a 24-hour gym featuring modern equipment and changing areas. You can also relax and rejuvenate in the sauna, steam room and large indoor swimming pool.

The following charges apply for the pool, whirlpool, sauna and steam room:

  • £10 Pass 90 (for individual Hilton residents) which give 90 minutes of access time.

Is there a space I can use for prayer or contemplation? (Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel)

Yes, a dedicated multi-faith space is provided for prayer and contemplation in the Kent Room. This is a designated ‘no work’ space and all forms of communication must be switched off.
