The NASUWT responds to consultations and review papers published by Westminster Government, the devolved administrations in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, and other agencies across the UK that relate to various aspects of teaching and the educational and professional issues facing teachers to ensure that our members' views are represented and evidence is submitted when policy is being debated.

What is a consultation?

Consultation is part of the regulatory process. Governments publish consultations on legislative changes or policies they want to introduce as part of the policy-making process.

A Government produces a consultation document that details the change they want to make and asks interested individuals and organisations to submit a response.

If you would like to contribute your own views for consideration as evidence in consultations we're responding to, please contact [email protected].
