Rushworth House Retirement Housing Complex offers retirement housing for individuals who are aged 60+ and in housing need. Priority is given to applications from NASUWT members.

Rental properties consist of 27 flats and 20 bungalows, each with a kitchen, lounge, double bedroom and bathroom, double glazing and central heating. Flats are accessible via stairs or a lift and there is resident-only parking area.

Communal areas and facilities consist of a lounge, a reading room, a craft room that can be used by painting and sewing groups, maintained grounds, and a laundry for day-to-day washing needs which available at a reasonable cost. There is a dedicated flat that can be hired for visiting friends or relatives.

Rushworth Social Committee organises a range of activities that reflect tenants’ interests.

Set in the Cotswolds, Rushworth House is within driving distance of towns such as Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Campden and Cirencester.

A dedicated manager for Rushworth House works Monday to Friday, except public holidays, who is responsible for:

  • contacting residents daily to check their wellbeing - if required by the resident;

  • reporting communal repairs and completing health and safety checks;

  • checking fire alarms, personal alarm pendants and pull cords;

  • encouraging residents to join social activities.
