New Teacher Development days are one-day seminars that the NASUWT runs throughout the UK every August.

The seminars are FREE to all NASUWT Newly Qualified Teacher members and are offered to our members prior to them taking up their first teaching post or those approaching the end of their first year of teaching.

The seminars aim to give new teachers the confidence to arrive for the first day of their new teaching career believing that they are properly equipped.

Topics covered in the seminar include:

- behaviour management;
- new teachers' first salary and conditions of service;
- your rights and responsibilities;
- recent development in education.

The NASUWT provides accommodation (where appropriate) and all meals, and pays travel expenses.

Early booking is recommended as places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
