Industrial Action FAQs (Isle of Man)
NASUWT members on the Isle of Man (IOM) have been undertaking action short of strike action since April 2022, withdrawing from a range of activities that do not directly relate to teaching and learning, including attending meetings and providing cover for absent colleagues.
Members took six days of strike action in an escalation of their current dispute with the DESC over pay, workload and working practices.
Strike action took place on 30 November and 1 December 2023 and 11 to 12 January and 15 to 16 February 2023.
The strike action has been called after our members overwhelmingly rejected a revised pay offer.
