This two-day course equips Learning Representatives with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to carry out their role.

This is an opportunity to meet other colleagues and discuss common problems with an experienced tutor.

The course covers:

  • the role of the Learning Representative;
  • facilities for Learning Representatives;
  • identifying learning needs in the workplace;
  • interviewing members;
  • giving advice; and
  • constructing an action plan.

This course is offered on a residential basis at Hillscourt Education Centre or on a non-residential basis elsewhere.

This is an essential foundation course for NASUWT Learning Representatives.

The course usually needs at least four participants to run.
