New collection date for annual subscription payments from 2023

If you pay your subscriptions in one annual payment each year, the collection date for the payment will move from the beginning of April to the beginning of January each year.

From 2023, annual subscription payments will be moving from 1 April to a date on or around 1 January.

The annual payment traditionally collected on 1 April every year was in part a retrospective subscription payment which covered you from 1 January to 31 December in any given year.

We believe that moving the annual payment to 1 January will provide those who pay their subscriptions on an annual rather than monthly basis with peace of mind that the payment you make on 1 January provides you with union cover for the whole year in a much more straightforward and easy to understand way.

The first annual payment on the new schedule will be on 3 January 2023 and will provide you with NASUWT cover from 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023.

The majority of our members pay their subscriptions in 12 equal monthly instalments.
