NASUWT notice and takedown policy

The National Association of Schoolmasters Union of Women Teachers (“NASUWT”) respects the intellectual property of others including its authors and creators. We require users of our website located at www.teachersunion.org.uk (the “Website”) to do the same.

You must not distribute, transmit, post or share in any way any copyright material, trade marks, or other intellectual property of any type belonging to others (whether registered or unregistered) without obtaining the prior written consent of the owner of such proprietary rights or any other material which may otherwise infringe English law. In accordance with the Website Terms of Use, NASUWT may, in its sole discretion suspend or terminate the account of any user infringing the intellectual property rights of others or distributing, transmitting, posting or sharing material or Content that is unacceptable under the Website Terms of Use.

Please note that you do not have permission to use any NASUWT trade mark, logo, screen shot, design or other feature from the Website (whether for linking purposes or otherwise) without the prior written consent of NASUWT.

If you believe that any content on the Website infringes your rights or is otherwise unacceptable, please notify us as follows:

Infringement of your Intellectual Property Rights

If you believe that your work (or the work of a third party on whose behalf you are entitled to act) has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please let us know by providing the following information to us:

1. a description of the work that you claim has been infringed and all relevant details of the work (including the title and date/s of publication);

2. details of the location on the Website of the material that you claim infringes the copyright in your work (including a URL and/or screen shot);

3. your contact details so that we can get in touch with you (name, full address, email address and telephone number);

4. a statement by you that you have a good faith belief that you are the copyright owner (or that you are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner) and that the disputed use of the work is not authorised by you (or by a third party legally entitled to provide such authorisation) and is not otherwise permitted by law; and

5. a statement by you that the above information is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

NASUWT will aim to acknowledge receipt of your complaint and begin addressing it within a reasonable time period. NASUWT will endeavour to report back to you within 10 working days of receiving your complaint to inform you of the steps that it has taken to address the complaint.

Unacceptable Content

If you believe that content on the website is unacceptable in accordance with the Website Terms of Use, please let us know by providing the following information to us:

1. a description of the content that is the subject of your complaint (including a URL and/or screen shot);

2. the particular grounds for your complaint (with reference to the provision of the Website Terms of Use on which you are relying);

3. your contact details so that we can get in touch with you (name, full address, e-mail address and telephone number);

4. a statement by you that you have a good faith belief that your complaint is reasonable.

Permission Requests

If you wish to seek permission to use any NASUWT trade mark, logo, screen shot, design or other feature from the Website (including for any linking purposes), please send us the following information to allow us to process your request:

1. the name (and where relevant, the name of the school, teaching establishment, organisation or company) of the person making the request;

2. where relevant, the details of the school, teaching establishment, organisation or company, including the address, registration number, etc;

3. the name of the publication in which the NASUWT material or Website Content will appear; and

4. a description of the NASUWT material or Website Content the applicant wishes to use.
