Teachers in Residential Establishments Pay Scales (England & Wales).
Basic pay grades for teachers who work in residential special schools fall within the scope of the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document (new window). The Union has produced a Salary Card for teachers on basic pay grades in maintained schools.
The JNCTRE does have responsibility for agreeing levels of the following allowances which are applicable to teachers and headteachers working in these settings:
- Headteachers Allowance;
- Deputy Headteachers’ Allowance and Assistant Headteachers Allowance;
- Additional Duties Allowance; and
- Sleeping-in Duty Allowance.
