Induction Guidance for England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland
The NASUWT produces guidance for newly qualified teachers on the induction/probation period that they will have to go through when taking up their first teaching posts. It is important to note that the induction/probation periods have some differences depending on what country newly qualified teachers are going to teach in, therefore newly qualified teachers should use the guide that is appropriate to where they are going to teach.
Within the resources section of this page, there are pdf's that hold the majority of guidance held in the induction planners and these can be downloaded for free. However, if you are a full member of the NASUWT you will have received a hard copy of the Induction Planner in the post. The hard copies have additional resources including a term time planner including prompts of what should be happening at different stages within each term.
If you are a full member of the NASUWT starting your induction year and you have not received a hard copy of the Induction Planner contact the NASUWT Despatch Team on 0121 453 6150 or e-mail despatch@mail.nasuwt.org.uk.
If you are student member of the NASUWT or if you have never been a member of the NASUWT, but would like to receive a hard copy of the Induction Planner join the NASUWT in the first instance and a copy of the Induction Planner will be dispatched to you.
