The Strategic Management of Local Association Finances
These seminars have been arranged around the UK throughout the Spring and Summer term 2012
Discussion activity sessions will include:
- The changing role of the Local Treasurer to respond to the challenges the Union faces in dealing with the attacks from the coalition.
- Financing a successful industrial action strategy.
- Appropriate use of Union funds.
- Activity led budget setting.
- Practical advice on the administration of NASUWT financial procedures at a local level and submitting claims and returns to the National Union.
The seminars will be led by Brian Cookson, Honorary Treasurer supported by Tracey Twist, Assistant General Secretary and Jane Smith, National Official, who will be on hand throughout the day to answer any specific queries relating to Finance that you may have.
Accommodation will only be provided at the Birmingham Seminar.
Travel expenses will be met by the National Union and lunch will be provided. .
