Chartered Teacher Scheme Survey
The NASUWT has concerns that the Chartered Teacher Scheme currently operating in Scotland has become a barrier rather than a route to teachers obtaining higher salaries.
The NASUWT is campaigning for the reform of the Scheme, including:
(i) the abolition of fees for participation;
(ii) a reduction in the workload burden; and
(iii) equality of access.
The Union wants to ensure that our campaign is focusing not only on all the areas of concern but also any positive experiences teachers have had.
This is a critically important issue and I would therefore be grateful if you would take a few minutes to complete this questionnaire. Your response is very important to us and will play a major part in ensuring all eligible teachers in Scotland can access the higher salaries to which they are entitled.
The NASUWT wants to hear from teachers who have considered or aspire to chartered teacher status, those who are engaged in the process and those who are qualified chartered teachers.
All of the information provided in response to this survey will be treated in strict confidence. No individual respondent, school or college will be identified in the collation of the results.
